Essential technologies

Clerk uses authentication and security cookies to maintain sign-in and protect sessions. Names and lifetimes vary by environment and provider configuration; some last for a session and others persist to support returning sign-in. These necessary technologies are not switched off by the app’s cookie notice.

Browser storage remembers your cookie-notice choice, requested workspace settings, and temporary sign-in navigation state. These are not advertising identifiers. You can inspect or clear them through your browser’s website-data settings.

Your cookie-notice choice

Choosing “Got it” acknowledges essential technologies only; it does not enable optional service measurement, sign you up for emails, or accept the Terms. We remember this essential choice on this browser for up to six months. You may reopen Cookie settings from the footer at any time.

If browser storage is blocked, the choice can only be remembered for this visit and the notice may appear again. Clearing website data also causes it to reappear.

Optional service measurement

The separate control below may allow limited app events to be sent to the hosting measurement service when it is available. No advertising pixels, session recordings, or additional measurement script are installed by this control. The app does not send business descriptions, email addresses, account identifiers, or personalized tokens as event properties.

This choice is remembered on this browser for up to six months. You can withdraw it below. An essential-cookie acknowledgment is never treated as optional permission. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track override an optional opt-in. If storage is blocked or the preference is invalid or expired, optional app events remain off.

Hosting and authentication providers may still process operational and security information under their own notices. Visiting third-party links is subject to those sites' policies.

Browser controls and contact

You can block or delete cookies using your browser controls. Blocking essential authentication cookies may prevent sign-in. Clearing cookies does not pause daily emails; use your profile or the unsubscribe confirmation link instead.

Optional service measurement

Off by default. If you opt in and the hosting measurement service is available, GovShark may send limited events such as a sign-up click or successful profile save. No business description, email address, account identifier, or personalized action token is included in those events.

Choosing “Got it” on the essential-cookie notice does not turn this on. You can use the app and receive requested emails with this switched off. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track override this preference.
